Matric Associates Acquire ASQ Certification

Matric Associates Rama Chockalingham, Quality Engineer and Jay Weckerly, Quality Analyst both recently participated in certification programs administered through the American Society for Quality (ASQ).  Rama and Jay have each successfully passed their respective certification exams with flying colors.  The initial certification processes required a lot of hard work and dedication, as well as knowledge and proof of application skills.  ASQ requires that they maintain their certifications every three years and continue to grow their quality expertise.

Rama (shown on left in photo) is now an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).  He has been a Quality Engineer in the Matric Quality Assurance Department since joining Matric in July, 2010.   Rama works with customers and suppliers, as well as internal associates to improve our processes and products with the overall goal of enhancing customer satisfaction.

Jay (shown on right in photo) is now an ASQ Certified Quality Analyst (CQA).  He has been working at Matric since 1994 and has held his current position in the Quality Assurance Department since 2002.  One of his main responsibilities is to work with customers to resolve issues and ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions taken, as well as implementing preventive actions relating to potential failures.

“We are very pleased with Rama and Jay for their recent achievements.  Their continued participation in the ASQ program will help to ensure the long-term success and growth of the quality standards at Matric,” says Tracy D. Sandell, the Director of Quality at Matric.  Tracy also maintains two certifications from ASQ:  Certified Quality Engineer and Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).  Tracy has been ASQ certified since 2000.
