Matric Adds Second Selective Solder Machine

Matric recently invested in a second new Selective Soldering Machine, Model KISS-103.  KISS stands for “Keep It Simple Soldering”.  The machines are fully automatic and easily programmed.  The machines will accommodate PCB/Panels up to 18” X 24” in size. New KISS Selective Solder Machine

Both KISS-103 machines at Matric are equipped with several of the optional features, which will help make the most of the machine’s capabilities.  One feature is the optional no-lead alloy compatible solder pot with PID proportional temperature control.  The solder pots are compact and easily interchangeable to provide selective soldering capabilities for RoHS or leaded assemblies with little downtime.

Another optional feature installed was an automated flux applicator, which will help to ensure repeatable quality and precision.

The machines are designed to solder connectors and other components into PCBs within 1.5 mm of nearby components under automated control.  The KISS-103 can also create top-side fillets to IPC 610 Class 2 and 3 and J STD 001 standards.

Both machines have rapid setup and time to “first production” using CAD importing or the “traveling alignment laser” and “teach” functions.
