Matric WDP Portal
Overviewwdpportal
The Wireless Data Portal is part of a family of products that share a block of data called the Wireless Data Pool (WDP). Using the WDP it is easy to implement remote I/O solutions or wireless process control and monitoring. Devices sharing the WDP are updated as quickly as every 80 ms depending upon the number of devices in the system.

The Wireless Data Portal provides direct DeviceNet access to the WDP to control I/O or share data between DeviceNet systems. Each trunk equipped with a Data Portal is a standard network with a scanner and up to 64 nodes. The Data Portal becomes one of the 64 nodes that communicate with the scanner over the trunk line. Up to eight separate trunk lines (or I/O units) can share data using the WDP. Each Data Portal is configured to write to separate sections of the WDP. Data written to the WDP is shared by all devices in the system and can be read by any of the associated scanners or I/O units.

The Wireless Data Portal is made of heavy duty extruded aluminum to provide rugged, sealed product that will operate reliably in harsh industrial environments.
